NOTE: The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad will hold its free annual Open House, “Rescue Day 2017,” in conjunction with the Taste of Bethesda , the outdoor food festival held just two blocks away in Bethesda’s restaurant district. Rescue Day 2017 will feature fire and rescue activities and displays for all ages , including tours of the station; live demonstrations of emergency medical, rescue, and firefighting equipment; free kids’ firefighter hats; a moon bounce; and more. The Rescue Squad’s most advanced firefighting and rescue equipment, including emergency vehicles, will be on display.

Starting with the acquisition of land by the U.S. Army in 1909 for the establishment of the first flight training school in the United States, through the “Roaring 20s” and Barnstorming Era, leading up to the current day efforts to preserve the airport’s rich history. Taste of Bethesda is located just three blocks from the Bethesda Metro.

NOTE: The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad will hold its free annual Open House, “Rescue Day 2017,” in conjunction with the Taste of Bethesda , the outdoor food festival held just two blocks away in Bethesda’s restaurant district. Rescue Day 2017 will feature fire and rescue activities and displays for all ages , including tours of the station; live demonstrations of emergency medical, rescue, and firefighting equipment; free kids’ firefighter hats; a moon bounce; and more. The Rescue Squad’s most advanced firefighting and rescue equipment, including emergency vehicles, will be on display.
