GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN

GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family? [Buy Tickets]

Watch the trailer…

According to Common Sense Media, “Winnie-the-Pooh author biopic looks heartwarming.”  What parents should know – Goodbye Christopher Robin, is based on the true story of Winnie-the-Pooh author A.A. Milne and the inspiration behind his tales of the honey-loving bear. A veteran of World Wars I and II, Milne (Domnhall Gleeson) was plagued by the horrors he experienced. As a result, he wrote about the enchanted world imagined by his son, Christopher Robin — who liked to play with his bear, donkey, and pig toys — to help persuade people not to go to war. Expect some war flashbacks that might be too intense for sensitive kids. But overall this looks like a heartwarming, sentimental drama that will appeal to older kids and adults alike.
